The HHPNA is a civic association rather than a homeowners association. Dues-paying membership is voluntary. We do not enforce deed restrictions, which to a large degree are absent from property originally developed between the late 1880s and the 1930s. The neighborhood is part of, and supports, the City of Tampa’s Hyde Park Historic District. Exterior rehabilitation, additions and new construction are subject to compliance with the Hyde Park Design Guidelines and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings.
